Kirstin Schulz

Dr. Kirstin Schulz is a polar researcher with expertise in physical oceanography. Holding a master's degree in applied mathematics and a PhD in Physical Oceanography, she has dedicated her career to study the mysteries of the Arctic Ocean. She has made significant contributions to the field through her work at prestigious science institutions in Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States. Dr. Schulz served as one of the leaders of the oceanography team on the groundbreaking MOSAiC expedition, the largest Arctic research endeavor to date. Her research focuses on the intricate interactions within the coupled Earth System, particularly in Greenland fjords and the high Arctic Ocean. With a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration, she continually pushes the boundaries of traditional disciplines to deepen our understanding of complex environmental systems.
